Ganggangsullae (강강술래)

It was so much fun to experience the Ganggangsullae dance (강강술래) which is one of the customs, widely spread in the south-eastern region of Korea, dedicated to praying for a good harvest and richness. It was designated by the UNESCO World Intangible Cultural Heritage in 2009.

We did have an awesome experience to dance together in a big group!

One person leads and sings the first part of the song the other people sing the rest of the song.

We have learned and experienced the dance in the National Institute of Oral and Intangible Heritage of Humanity.
